RAWALPINDI:

The health authorities on Monday collected swab samples of school staff and students from 12 different private and public educational institutions for coronavirus tests. Rawalpindi District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Naveed Ahmed said that they would seal off the institutions where a positive case was detected or if it was found that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were not being implemented. He reiterated that the coronavirus situation has although improved but the danger persisted. The official expressed that wearing facemasks, sanitising hands and social distancing were still necessary. Dr Ahmed emphasised that the parents must sensititse their children about the implementation on precautionary SOPs before sending them to schools.
