'Family Guy' new season opens up with a PSL joke

Popular animated series Family Guy premiered its 19th season on Sunday, September 27 with a surprise for Pakistani fans. During the opening scene of the first episode called Stewie's First Word, the Pakistan Super League is mentioned.

As the episode starts, Peter and the gang are at the Clam, the neighbourhood bar wherein Quagmire expresses his frustration with the influx of foreign sports fans crowding the place every Saturday morning. He points at two Pakistanis, who turn out to be Lahore Qalandars supporters. Joe turns out to be a Karachi Kings fan however is shown to quickly covers his t-shirt commenting " I am rooting for Karachi but I don't have a death wish about it."

The clip quickly gained steam on Twitter with some Pakistani fans not satisfied with the accent used in the episode. According to them, the way Lahori fans are shown talking in the episode is rather Indian than Pakistani.

At the same many were rather excited that Pakistan was mentioned in the series.
