ISLAMABAD:

A citizen concerned about anti-social activities going on in his neighbourhood was shot and injured by two people for stopping them from drinking liquor openly in the lane.

Gul Nawaz, a resident of the Shareefabad area told the Koral police Ajsan and Arsalan were drinking alcohol openly in the locality. The complainant prohibited the suspects from it as women and children were also passing by. However, the suspects got furious and grabbed Nawaz and started beating him.

Then, to humiliate the victim, they asked him to make rounds in the locality. But, on refusing to do so, the suspects started beating Nawaz again and opened fire at him owing to which he got injured.
