City administrator Iftikhar Shallwani said on Saturday that road development and cleanliness would be given top priority during his tenure, and a comprehensive map of Karachi would be prepared.
He said this while addressing a luncheon arranged by the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).
Shallwani said under the Karachi Transformation Plan, road development was to be the top priority, since it would gain most investor interest.
In this regard, he further elaborated that a comprehensive map of Karachi would be prepared and all streets and roads would be named after famous personalities from the city. For example, he announced that the 3000 road in Korangi Industrial Area would be named after KATI patron-in-chief SM Muneer.
He also welcomed the proposal to develop an urban forest in the vicinity of Malir and Lyari Rivers.
