Alleged rapist caught dumping boy’s body in Karachi

A suspect was reportedly caught red-handed by area residents while dumping the body of an eight-year-old boy, who had been raped and murdered, in a stream in Federal B Area on Thursday night.

The body, which had been wrapped in a cloth, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The boy’s father said his son was missing when he returned home from work on Thursday evening.

He added that area residents saw a suspicious man carrying a sack and found the boy’s body when they stopped him. He claimed that the suspect, Samiullah, used to live nearby but had to leave because neighbours objected to his presence. The police later arrested and booked Samiullah under Sections 302 and 337 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
