Robbers continue to prowl the streets of the federal capital, looting people with impunity without fear of the law as three more citizens were deprived of cash and valuables at gunpoint on on Thursday. Kohsar Police was informed by Taha Butt that he was walking down a street while talking on his smartphone, when suddenly two unidentified suspects snatched his handset. Two gun-toting robbers on snatched Rs800,000 cash from a senior journalist at the parking lot of his residential flat in Street 4 of Sector I-8/1. According to Ishtiaq Rao, he had withdrawn the amount from a private bank in I-8 Markaz at around 11.30am. The two armed persons riding on a motorbike intercepted him at the parking lot of his flat, snatched the cash amount and sped. In the third incident, Shams Colony police learnt through Basheer Ahmed that four thieves broke into his house and made his family hostage. They robbed items worth over Rs1 million including jewelry, cellphones, and cash. The police have registered cases of all incidents.
