ISLAMABAD:

An elderly man thrown out of his house by his sons approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for justice.

The victim of alleged elderly abuse, Muhammad Fareed, filed an application with the IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah in which he stated that he lived in Sector F-10 and used to run a tea dhaba for living.

The litigant added that his sons threw him out of the home and also set his dhaba on fire. He mentioned lodging a complaint against his sons with the Shalimar police however the police took no action.

It was only when Fareed approached the police high-ups, a first information report (FIR) was registered by the Shalimar police.
