KU, NDMA join hands to tackle emergencies

The International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (KU) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Islamabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday aiming to support research, development, knowledge exchange and training in disasters in the country.

According to the agreement, both the institutions intend to collaborate and put in joint efforts towards building and strengthening research and training capacity of the NDMA's Isolation Hospital and Infectious Treatment Centre (IHITC).

Moreover, ICCBS will establish a research and development and training facility at the IHITC.
