Marble mines area to get civic amenities

Redressal of the families of the victims only became possible after special directives by the chief minister

Special Assistant to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chief minister on Mineral Resources Arif Ahmadzai has said that development work in the Ziarat marble mine area of Mohmand district would be initiated soon to facilitate the mineworkers and local population. The special assistant said during a meeting with a delegation of Ziarat Marble Association led by MPA Sajid Mohmand on Monday. The participants offered prayers for the martyrs of the Ziarat marble mine accident. The advisor said that the redressal of the families of the victims only became possible after special directives by the chief minister. The official asserted that all issues related to miners were being addressed on a priority basis, adding that the previous governments only made announcements but didn’t do any practical work. He said that the provincial government would never compromise on the rights of labourers workers. Members of the association also thanked special assistant for the prompt measures taken after the incident.
