343 lawbreakers held in a month

One proclaimed offender was also arrested during these search operations

Lahore Police Operations Wing arrested as many as 343 lawbreakers over the last month. According to a report issued by the police department on Monday, the force conducted 593 search and sweep operations during the month of Muharramul Haram in different areas of the city. During these search operations, as many as 52,335 persons, 12,669 houses, 4,308 tenants, 68 hotels, 53 hostels, seven bus stands, 36 factories and 501 shops were checked. Police took action against the lawbreakers as well as criminals and arrested 88 persons in violation of tenant registration act, one in illegal weapons case, five drug sellers and seized narcotics from them. Moreover, one proclaimed offender was also arrested during these search operations. Lahore DIG Operations Ashfaq Ahmad Khan has said that search and sweep operations will continue in the city to ensure law & order and protection of citizens.
