The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) announced the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results on Saturday with the passing percentage at 75.65%.
The matriculation exams in Punjab were held in March this year just before the lockdown. The Rawalpindi BISE Spokesperson Arsalan Cheema said that out of total 122,553 students who applied for the exams, some 121,507 were allowed to appear. Some 57,128 boys and 65,425 girls were registered to appear in the examination this year.
Cheema added that 91,888 students cleared the exams and the passing percentage remained 75.65%. The official said that 29,429 students failed in the matric exams while 1,007 were marked absent.
The spokesperson said that the results have been uploaded on their official website while the students of 9th grade have been promoted to matric class without examination.
