KARACHI:

The Rangers' Quick Response Force found four rocket launchers from the bushes near an electricity grid station in Madina Colony, in the jurisdiction of the Sachal police on Saturday.

The Rangers had received a tip-off that terrorists had hidden explosives at the location. They encircled the area and launched a search operation, finding the rocket launchers.

Later, the Rangers and bomb disposal squad cleared the area with the help of sniffer dogs and disposed of the rocket launchers.

Last month, the Rangers and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police shot dead two 'most wanted terrorists’ belonging to banned outfits during a joint operation in Raees Yar Muhammad Goth of Karachi's Baldia Town.

The spokesperson said the Rangers’ intelligence wing and the CTD had received a tip-off about the presence of members of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Ustaad Aslam Group, in Raees Yar Muhammad Goth, following which they went to arrest them later that night.
