Sindh Assembly opposition leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi led a protest outside the K-Electric (KE) and Sui Southern Gas Company’s offices on Friday, slamming them for gas and electricity load-shedding in Karachi. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA announced he would raise the issue with the energy minister, adding that even the PTI taking power in the Centre had made no difference. Addressing the protesters, he said numerous complaints had been received regarding low gas pressure, gas load-shedding and increased charges. Speaking about KE, he said the utility deserved to be closed down since it had failed to end load-shedding.
