No negligence by the departments would be tolerated in taking preventive measures against dengue in the district, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali has warned.
He said the departments that failed to show results in surveillance activities would be held accountable. He was speaking during a meeting held to review the implementation of anti-dengue measures by the District Emergency Response Committee. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mudassar Nawaz, District Health Authority CEO Mushtaq Sipra, District Health Officer Dr Bilal Ahmed and others.
The DC directed the officials that dengue larvae breeding sites should be surveyed frequently and effective measures should be taken to keep such areas dry and clean.
