IT ministry committed to providing broadband services in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:

Digital technology is vital for development of the country and better public and customer service must always be given priority, remarked Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque.

During a visit to Jazz headquarters on Wednesday, the IT minister reaffirmed that betterment of the country and welfare of people were top priorities of the government.

Haque told Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim that initiatives taken for public welfare would be fully supported by the government and stressed the need for working together for the welfare of people.

“The IT ministry is committed to providing broadband services in the country,” he said. “Steps are being taken to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas of Pakistan.”
