The Islamabad Police have allegedly colluded with suspects who had allegedly barged into a house, assaulted a resident and his daughter, and tore their clothes in the Gulberg Town area. The Express Tribune has learnt three months after the incident took place, none of the suspects has been arrested. To make matters worse, the Shehzad Town police had only registered a case of the incident after the victims filed a petition in a local court. The victims stated that Muhammad Rafeeq, along with his accomplices, including women, had broken into their Gulberg Town house. The suspects assaulted the victim and his daughter, dragged them from their hair, and tore their clothes. The suspects then left after hurling death threats. A complaint was lodged against the suspects but the police failed to register a first information report (FIR). Later, the victims had to seek help from the district and sessions court after which the police lodged an FIR of the incident. However, it has been three months that none of the suspects has been booked and the victims believe that the police have allegedly colluded with the offenders.
