Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a suspect for allegedly killing a man on resisting mobile snatching early this year. According to a press release the officials of Noon police station traced a murder committed at the advent of this year by unidentified people during mobile snatching attempt. The police spokesman said that Zain Javed was killed by a criminal when he put up resistance to mobile snatching. Following this incident, a special team headed by Industrial Area SP Zubair Ahmed Sheikh and others including Sub-Inspector Niaz Ahmed was constituted. This team worked hard, investigated the case following modern investigation techniques and succeeded to arrest an accused Adil Azam Khan. A pistol used as murder weapon was also recovered from him while further investigation was under way to ensure arrest of his accomplices. Operations DIG has appreciated the performance of SP Ahmed Sheikh as well as his team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for them.
