Sindh's Covid-19 death toll climbs to 2,409

Six more people have died due to Covid-19 in the province, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday, giving the daily update of coronavirus-related tally, deaths and recoveries.

He said that following this development, the province's Covid-19 death toll had climbed to 2,409.

Meanwhile, he added, 146 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh, taking the tally to 129,615.

According to the CM, currently, 3,822 people are under treatment for Covid-19 in the province, among whom 3,504 are in home isolation, 311 are being treated at different hospitals and seven are quarantined at isolation centres. Moreover, the condition of 157 patients is critical and 15 of them are on ventilators, he said.

The CM added that 310 more persons had recovered from the contagious disease overnight, raising the number of recovered patients in Sindh to 123,384.

He said that of the cases reported on Tuesday, 88 belonged to Karachi, 11 to Matiari and Umerkot each, three to Naushero Feroze, four each to Hyderabad, Qambar-Shadadkot, Larkana and Shikarpur and two each to Ghotki, Jacobabad and Tando Allahyar.
