Photographers and photo enthusiasts from the scenic valleys of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan can submit entries to a photo competition being organised by the Special Communications Organization (SCO), the largest telecom service provider in these regions.

Following on from its ‘My Land, My People’ competition and exhibition last year, the SCO under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is organising another photography competition this year.

The theme for this year is ‘Fascinating Flora and Fauna of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B)’. Students and the general public can send in their original, unpublished, high-resolution images depicting the essence of nature and wildlife of these areas, including all plant life and animals in their natural environment.

The images must be at least 20 megapixels and taken through a DSLR camera. The competition is split into four groups. The first three groups are for school, college and university students of these regions, while the last group is for the general public. Entries can be sent to photography2020@sco.gov.pk, by September 25 along with contact and identity details of the participants.
