30 processions taken out in Bahawalpur

77 religious gatherings held

BAHAWALPUR:

At least 30 processions were taken out and 77 religious gatherings were held in Bahawalpur on 9th Moharram. Bahawalpur District Police Officer Sohaib Ashraf said one of these processions was of category A and rest of category C.

One religious gathering was of category A, two of category B and 74 of category C. DPO maintained that 3,361 security personnel including 1,755 police forces and 1,606 volunteers were deployed on security in the district.

The routes of processions were technically swept and CCTV cameras and drones were used for monitoring. Walk-through gates.
