1,947 processions to be held in Khairpur

Over 4,000 police officials deployed for security

As many as 1,947 mourning processions will be carried out today (Sunday), on Muharram 10, in Khairpur.

Over 4,000 police officials, including 100 female constables, will be deployed for the processsions’ security, said Khairpur SSP Captain (retd) Ameer Saud Magsi on Saturday. He told media persons that the police would cordon off the areas in the vicinity of the processions’ routes, along which ambulances, bomb disposal squads and fire brigades would be deployed, apart from police personnel.
