Target killings: 12 more die in Karachi

Two people were killed by gunfire in City Station area and Malir, while one person was killed in Baldia town.

KARACHI: Target killings claimed 12 lives in the past 24 hours in various areas of Karachi, Express 24/7 reported on Sunday.

Two people were killed by gunfire in City Station area and Malir, while one person was killed in Baldia town.

An unidentified body was found bundled in a sack in North Nazimabad, and another body was discovered next to Mera check post near Lyari drain.

Karachi has been experiencing several incidents of targeted killings since a few months. Earlier the police reported that around 200 people were killed due to violence in the month of July only.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party both called for army deployment in the city in efforts to curb the violence and to restore peace to the city.

Only MQM can provide security in this city, give them the charge and they will wipe out all trouble makers.
