KARACHI:

Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) president Dr Zubair Shaikh decided on Sunday to put a halt to the on-going three-day examinations, being held at the varsity by the National Testing Service (NTS), for appointments to vacancies at the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to a MAJU spokesperson, Dr Shaikh had made the decision due to the violation of coronavirus-related standard operating procedures (SOP) by NTS officials during the tests.

He added that Dr Shaikh believed the violation of SOPs at any educational institute would send a negative message to society.

He also demanded that the authorities prevent NTS from organising the exams at any other university.
