Coronavirus claims nine more lives in Sindh

Taking the province's virus death toll to 2,367

KARACHI:

A day after Sindh saw just one death due to coronavirus, nine more people succumbed to the contagious disease, taking the province's virus death toll to 2,367.

In a statement on Sunday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah shared that 319 more people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the province, out of 9,027 samples screened on the day. As a result, Sindh's virus tally rose to 128,284 infections to date.

Shah further apprised that there were 4,002 active coronavirus patients in Sindh, of whom 3,677 were in home isolation, 318 were being treated at different hospitals, while seven were quarantined in isolation centres.

Moreover, the condition of 190 patients was said to be critical, with 31 of them on ventilators.

On the other hand, 771 more people recovered from the virus overnight, pushing the number of recoveries 121,915.
