CCPO reviews measures taken regarding Muharram security

Joint teams of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Wing, Counterterrorism Department (CTD), police and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) have been formed to take effective measures against those who promote hate speech and sectarianism on social media.

CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed told media persons while inspecting the route of Imambargah Pando Street and Muharram 9 procession that mobile phone service will be partially blocked. He said pillion riding on motorcycles will be banned and the procession routes will be protected with barbed wire and barriers, while full compliance of the government’s guidelines regarding prevention of coronavirus will be ensured.

The CCPO reviewed the measures taken regarding Muharram security with SSP Operations Lahore Faisal Shehzad.
