ISLAMABAD:
Director General of the Strategic Plans Division (SPD) Lt-Gen Nadeem Zaki Manj called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and briefed him on the initiatives of the SPD, said a statement issued by the PM Office on Saturday.

It added that the prime minister appreciated the role and contribution of the SPD.
The SPD is the custodian of the country's nuclear arsenal.
The SPD, established in 2001, serves as the secretariat of the National Command Authority (NCA) which oversees research, development, production and deployment of nuclear weapons.
The SPD executes policies of the NCA. The SPD director general also serves as NCA secretary.
