10 lawbreakers held in city

Police recovered 22 motorcycles, two cars and two rickshaws from their custody

As many as 10 lawbreakers involved in robberies and other street crimes were arrested in the city on Friday. Police busted a five-member gang involved in street crimes. Looted valuables worth Rs2.2 million and illegal weapons were also recovered from their possession. DSP Javed Siddique led the police team that conducted a raid and arrested the accused including Usman, Waris, Ahsan, Sajjad and another accused. During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing dozens of crimes. Police registered a case against them and started investigation. Meanwhile, Iqbal Town Anti-Vehicle Lifting Squad (AVLS) arrested five suspected members of a gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Nisar, Khadim, Nasir, Shahid and another robber. Police also recovered 22 motorcycles, two cars and two rickshaws from their custody.
