The body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from Garhi Shahu on Thursday.
A passerby spotted the body and informed the police. A police team reached the site and shifted the body to a city morgue for autopsy. They also collected pieces of forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses.
Circumstantial evidence suggested that the victim might have died of a drug overdose. However, autopsy and further investigations would help ascertain the facts about the cause of death. Further investigations into the matter were underway.
