An accountability court sought on Wednesday more witnesses in the case against former Fishermen’s Cooperative Society chairperson Dr Nisar Morai, after the cross-examination of two witnesses.

The court recorded the statements of two witnesses presented by the prosecution, while the counsels for the accused cross-examined them.

Separately, the court ordered the relevant authorities to provide the copies of the documents presented by the witness to the accused in a Rs462 billion corruption reference.

The accused’s counsels claimed they had not been given copies of the documents provided by the witness. The court ordered these be provided to them and adjourned the hearing until September 3.
