A 27-year-old woman was allegedly killed after she was physically assaulted by her husband in Sanda on Wednesday.
The victim had been identified as Beenish Yousaf. She was living with her husband in Bismillah Chowk, Dhoop Sarhi. The couple would reportedly quarrel on minor issues. On the day of the incident, after a brief argument, the suspect was deranged and subjected the victim to severe torture. Resultantly, she sustained serious injuries and was killed.
A police team reached the spot on information and shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. Police also collected forensic evidences from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses. Police officials said that they were investigating the matter further.
