United Kingdom Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) President Fahim Kayani said India secretly issued domiciles or citizenship certificates to more than 0.4 million Hindu extremists since August 5, 2019 to purchase land and property in or Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) with the objective of changing its demography and converting Muslim majority in the territory into minority.
“India has no right to celebrate Independence Day on August 15 after New Delhi has snatched the right to vote from the people of IIOJK,” said Kayani on Saturday in a conference organised by TeK Europe on India’s Independence Day observed as Black Day by Kashmiris across the globe.
Kayani added the oppressed nation ultimately demand right to self-determination which has been accepted by the United Nations resolution. He urged UN and European Union (EU) to take notice of human rights violations in IIOJK.
“The world powers should pressurize India to halt brutal human right violations in the occupied valley,” said the TeK president, adding the Kashmiris should have right to decide about their political future as per the UN resolutions.
Italy TeK President Mahmood Sharif expressed commitment with Kashmiri brethren for fighting for their legitimate right saying India could not continue the illegal siege of the valley for a long time and it would have to grant the right to the oppressed people soon.
Secretary General of Italy TeK Jamshed Cheema reaffirmed support to Kashmiris in obtaining their right to self-determination.
“The conference is held on the Independence Day of India to remind the leaders that New Delhi has suppressed the freedom of IIOJK,” said Cheema, adding he would continue raise the issue across Europe till its final settlement as per the desires of Kashmiris.
Other speakers of Kashmir conference also supported ongoing freedom struggle in IIOJK and vowed to continue their support to settle the dispute to bring peace, security and tranquility in South Asia.
