An employee of the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited was killed on Thursday, allegedly by men who had lent him money against the payment of interest.
The body was thrown near Peoples Medical University Hospital, Nawabshah.
Speaking at a protest outside the hospital, municipal committee vice chairperson Khan Bahadur Bhatti and other family members of slain Mehmood Ali Bhatti accused three men of murdering him.
Khan claimed that Majid Zardari, Junaid Zardari and Nazir Zardari, who is reportedly an operator in Zardari House, took Mehmood away from his office.
Ali Gohar Bhatti, Mehmood’s brother, claimed his brother had taken a loan of around Rs1 million from the Zardaris. The amount, including the markup, surged to Rs4 million and his brother was unable to pay it back, he said.
Mehmood’s family has alleged that the hospital management was trying to protect the killers because they are not sharing the CCTV footage.
