Over 100 new Covid-19 cases emerge across Punjab

The Covid-19 pandemic claimed four more lives in the province, while the number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 94,586 after registration of 109 new cases.

The spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department on Tuesday said so far the total number of deaths recorded was 2,174 altogether. As many as 55 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, five in Rawalpindi, three in Jhelum, one in Chakwal, 13 in Gujranwala, four in Sialkot, three in Narowal, six in Gujrat, one in Hafizabad, one in Mandi Bahauddin, four in Multan, one in Khanewal, two in Faisalabad, one in Toba Tek Singh, one in Jhang, three in Rahim Yar Khan, one in Sargodha, two in Mianwali, one in Bahawalpur and a new case of the virus was reported in Dera Ghazi Khan district during the last 24 hours.

The Punjab health department has conducted 788,860 tests for Covid-19 so far, while 86,289 confirmed patients have recovered in the province.

The department appealed to the people to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks. APP
