A father who allegedly raped his daughter last week in Satiana area was arrested on Tuesday from Rahim Yar Khan. Police was given remand of the accused by a court.
On August 8, Javed Iqbal, a resident of Chak No 129, area of Satiana police station fled after he allegedly raped his 14-year-old daughter when she was going to take grass from the fields. Satiana police registered a case on the statement of the accused’s wife Saleema Bibi and began conducting raids to arrest him.
On Monday, Satiana SHO Yousuf Shehzad raided with the help of mobile phone location on the house of the accused javed’s brother and interrogated him.
According to the SHO, the rapist confessed to sexually abusing his daughter. He further said that the accused had been produced in the court and was given remand for DNA testing.
Meanwhile, the rape victim had undergone a medical test in which the sexual assault had been proven.
