QUETTA:

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Monday started repair work of a 12-inch diameter pipeline near Kundlani Bridge in Bolan River that has been damaged by flash floods in the province. However, due to flood situation and non-rehabilitation of roads, repair work of two other pipelines in Bibi Nani town could not be started. According to a spokesman of the SSGC, the repair work of 24 and 12 inch diameter pipelines could not be started due to flood situation and non-rehabilitation of communication roads. “As soon as Bibi Nani’s connection with Sibi is restored, repair work will be started,” the spokesman said. The gas pipeline damages have created a low gas pressure in Quetta and other cities of Balochistan as residents in those cities face immense difficulties.
