An anti-terrorism court adjourned on Monday the hearing of five cases against Lyari gang kingpin Uzair Baloch due to the absence of the defence lawyer. The ATC was hearing that cases, including one pertaining to the murder of gangster Arshad Pappu, at Karachi Central Jail, where the defence lawyer failed to appear in court. Meanwhile, Baloch complained to the court about the lack of basic facilities in the prison, claiming that he was not even provided a nail cutter or a razor to shave his face when he asked for them. The court adjourned the hearing without proceedings until August 26.
