Kite string claims minor’s life

LAHORE:

An incident of kite flying claimed the life of a minor in the provincial capital on Saturday.

The recent case in the city has been reported in Shafiqabad area where a minor identified as Ali Asghar, 4, lost his life due to kite string. The father of the victim informed police that he along with his minor son left home in the early hours of the day to buy milk from a nearby shop on a motorcycle. On their way, his son Ali sustained a cut on his neck because of a kite string hanging from an electric pole.

Resultantly, the victim was injured and fell. He was shifted to a hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. An FIR against the incident had been registered.
