Two alleged scammers involved in online mobile sale were arrested during a raid conducted by Faisalabad Cybercrime Reporting Centre (CCRC) on Saturday. The accused were reportedly involved in fraudulent practices via social media platform Facebook.
Upon receiving a complaint from Ali Abbas Ashiq, son of Abbas Hussain, an FIR was registered regarding a scam of Rs1.84 million deposited for the purchasing of mobiles through a Facebook page.
During enquiry proceedings, it was revealed that the alleged scammers identified as Fahad Raza and Ali Shan looted a number of customers by posting fake mobile advertisements and received the amounts through multiple bank accounts.
