Sindh directs doctors resume positions

1,202 still on deputation, haven't reported to institutions after completing post-grad studies

KARACHI:

All doctors who had completed their postgraduate studies and were deputed at different institutions and departments in the province have been directed to report back to the location where they had first been appointed, stated a Sindh Health Department directive issued on Saturday.

A health department spokesperson stated that a total of 1,202 doctors were still on deputation but had yet to report to their institutions after the completion of their postgraduate studies. A 15-day extension has been granted to these doctors before they are expected to report back to their institutions, while a list of the doctors was also published with the notification.
