300 Covid-19 cases, three deaths reported
450 more patients recuperated from the virus overnight
KARACHI:
At least 300 fresh coronavirus cases were detected in Sindh on Saturday, stated Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the day. Meanwhile, three more patients succumbed to the virus, raising Sindh's pandemic death toll to 2,262, while the virus tally hit 123,546 in the province.
According to the CM, 450 more patients had also recuperated from the virus overnight, taking the number of recoveries to date to 115,415.
He added that 5,869 patients were currently under treatment, with 5,489 of them in home isolation, six admitted at isolation centres and 374 at different hospitals. He further stated that 254 patients were in critical condition, while 44 of them had been put on ventilators.
Moreover, Shah said, of the 300 new cases, 201 had been detected in Karachi, while Hyderabad saw nine cases, Thatta eight, Dadu and Badin seven each, Larkana six, Jamshoro four, Shikarpur and Sukkur three each, Umerkot and Shaheed Benazirabad two each and Mirpurkhas and Sanghar one apiece.
