Covid-19 infects 386 more in Sindh
250 patients were said to be in critical condition
At least five more patients lost their lives to Covid-19 in Sindh on Thursday, while 386 new cases emerged in the province, pushing the death toll to 2,250 and the total infections in Sindh to date to 122,759. In a statement released on the day, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 8,723 tests had been conducted overnight, yielding a detection rate of four per cent. He added that 795,549 samples had been tested in Sindh to date, with an overall positive detection raio of 15 per cent. Furthermore, he said that 522 more patients had recuperated from the virus, taking the number of recoveries in Sindh to 113,518. According to the CM, 5,991 patients are currently under treatment in Sindh, with 5,653 in home isolation, nine at isolation centres and 329 at different hospitals. He added that 250 patients were said to be in critical condition, of whom 49 were on ventilators.
