The function of the Daad Rasi Centre would be spread across South Punjab following its good performance to protect women belonging to different fields of life, said AIG Police Inam Ghani.
While paying a visit to the centre on Wednesday, he asked its management to strictly follow women’s cases in courts. He said all departments of the centre including medical and investigation were fully operational.
He added that torture and harassment of women would never be tolerated. He said the centre had adopted an effective methodology of launching an investigation into cases registered against women. CPO Ahsan Raz said that about 4,000 women had received help through the centre.
