KARACHI:

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (FPCCI) Pakistan-UK Business Council Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Tariq organised first meeting of the council at the Federation House Karachi via Zoom link. Welcoming the participants, Tariq highlighted the economic progress in the UK, which had been badly affected by Covid-19. He added that the UK was one of the important trading partners of Pakistan, which played a crucial role in the economic and social development of the country. The chairman talked about the post-Brexit initiatives undertaken by various countries to enhance business ties with the UK. He expressed the desire that an area of 2,500 square feet in the Royal Albert Dock - an Asian business hub developed by Chinese builders near the City Airport - should be acquired to establish a business centre, which would help flourish businesses with a trickle-down impact.
