Who wore what? Celebs celebrate Eid in style

From traditional drapes and contemporary looks, everyone put their best foot forward

Entertainment Desk August 04, 2020

With Eidul Azha having just turned the corner this past weekend, social media has been flooded with tons of #ootd (outfit of the day) photos. If you don’t live under a rock, chances are that Eid outfits are the only posts you’ve scrolled through on your Instagram feeds over the weekend.

Of course, our uber-stylish celebs set the bar high this Eid, with gorgeous traditional ensembles in pastel and jewel tones – from flowing peshwas and sleek-cut kurtas to traditional drapes and contemporary looks, everyone seemed to put their best foot forward!

Here are some of the looks that caught our eye on our Instagram feeds.

Saba Qamar

Go big or go home, we guess? Saba Qamar stunned in an elaborate Mohsin Naveed Ranjha ensemble on the first day of Eid. While her outfits on the second and third days were gorgeous as well, we think this one deserves a special mention, if just for the grandiosity of it!

Aiman Khan

Aiman chose Erum Khan Couture for her special Eid outfit and the blush pink dress which seems like an anarkali featured pretty floral motifs with a stunning dupatta to go with it. What’s more, her little one, Amal, was twinning with her mommy!

Iqra chose a classic, timeless staple – a black gharara look! Done beautifully by Faiza Saqlain, the all-black kameez and gharara were made all the more stunning by the addition of a contrasting, red chunri.

Ayeza Khan

Keeping it simple, Ayeza chose an all-white Nazli Akbar jora on the final day of Eid, “ready to host the Eid breakfast,” as she said. With lace accents and the perfect, whimsical styling, it was indeed the perfect pick for an Eid breakfast with the family.

Sonya Hussyn

While some might call it risqué, Sonya’s choice this Eid easily made her stand out among the flurry of Eid #ootd posts. A back-baring, mint number by Asim Jofa made sure that Sonya would turn heads this Eid, and that she did!

Staying at home never looked this traditionally stylish! Ayesha, known for keeping her style choices on point, chose a black Shamsha Hashwani jora with fiery red and orange details, and if we’re being honest, it’s the perfect piece to keep in your wardrobe for years.

Much like Ayeza, Sarah chose white to make a statement this Eid. Her Zainab Salman look boasted of intricate lace details with a defined neckline. What’s more, the newlywed Sarah had her husband as arm candy, glowing with happiness!

Saboor chose to stray away from traditional cuts, opting for a more contemporary look courtesy of Amna Arshad, who put together a mint green ensemble for her that teetered between traditional and modern with its unique silhouette. Kudos to Saboor for pulling it off!
