Will The Professor go through a major tragedy?

Speaking with the Express UK some months back he said, “The Professor was a very weird guy, a very lonely guy and what happened with the band and finding love, it’s a really small chapter in his life. If we’re talking about the end of the character, I think at one point, I’d like to see him go back to that loneliness, that solitary life that he’s more used to and seems more comfortable in.” This has resulted in fans speculating that his love interest Lisbon, will meet her death in the final season.

The show might get a new villain

It was earlier on confirmed that actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado will be joining the cast in the upcoming season. As Gandia's life remains in the balance with the gang overpowering him, it is a possibility that Miguel Ángel Silvestre will end up becoming the main antagonist of the show.

Alicia's true origin

Alicia's character so far has been full of surprises. She first turned out to be Tatiana and eventually became part of the team. As such fans for long have pondered over her actual identity. Many have begun to speculate that she might be the wife of German.

The season will have 10-episodes

The show has already been confirmed to have a total of 10-episodes. Showrunner Álex Pina said in a statement, “We have spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes? How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters? The result is the fifth season of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”
