Body recovered from drain in Thokar Niaz Baig

Cause of the death would be ascertained after the autopsy and further investigations, says police

LAHORE:

The body of an unidentified man has been recovered from a drain in Thokar Niaz Baig on Friday. A passerby spotted the body floating in the drain and informed the police. Police and rescue teams reached the spot on information and fished out the body. Police also shifted it to a morgue for autopsy, collected forensic pieces of evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses. Police said that the cause of the death would be ascertained after the autopsy and further investigations.
