12 suspects apprehended across city

They were involved in street crimes, robberies, drug peddling and other serious crimes

The police claimed to have arrested as many as 12 suspects in different operations in the city on Tuesday night for alleged involvement in street crimes, robberies, drug peddling and other serious crimes.

The Liaquatabad police arrested two suspects, Javed and Ali, for selling gutka, while confiscating a large quantity of gutka and raw material used in its manufacturing.

Moreover, the Ibrahim Hyderi police arrested two suspects, Akram and Amanullah, and seized drugs from their possession.

Further, the Garden police arrested two alleged smugglers, namely Saleem and Noor, and impounded a truck carrying 1,200 litres of Iranian diesel. According to the police, the suspects were allegedly involved in selling Iranian diesel in the city after smuggling it through Hub, Balochistan.

Separately, six other suspects were arrested in different operations and shifted to unknown locations.
