A young girl passed away while another was left injured in an incident of roof collapse on Mohni Road on Wednesday. According to details, the victims identified as Sania Kashif, 12, and Rania Kashif, 6, were inside the house situated near Islamia College when the roof caved in. The victims were trapped under the debris. Nearby people called the rescue service whose team reached the spot and removed the wreckage to rescue the victims. Both injured were shifted to a hospital, wherein the doctors pronounced six year old Rania as ‘brought dead’. Initial investigation suggested that the incident occurred because the house was in an extremely dilapidated condition. Meanwhile, at least two persons were injured when the roof a building collapsed in Amir Town. The roof of privately owned laboratory situated in Canal Bank Society suddenly caved in due to rain. The staff working there were buried under the wreckage. Rescue teams reached the spot on information and shifted the injured to hospital. The victims were identified as Awais, 25 years, and Khawar, 27 years.
