CM approves TDCP employees’ salaries
LAHORE:
The payment of salaries of the employees of the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) has been approved by the chief minister.
Adviser to Chief Minister for Tourism, Asif Mehmood visited the newly built building of TDCP and announced the payment of salaries on behalf of the chief minister.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, tourist spots all over Punjab have been shut down, drastically reducing the income of TDCP.
In this situation, payment of salaries of staff was largely disrupted for the last two months.
The adviser raised the issue in front of the chief minister who approved a special payment plan for TDCP employees.
The staff reportedly thanked the chief minister and the adviser for the payment of salaries ahead of Eidul Azha.
The new building of TDCP near Ayoub Chowk, Raiwind Road was constructed under a development scheme of Punjab government.
Mehmood inspected all sections of TDCP offices while the corporation’s Managing Director Tanvir Jabbar briefed him about departmental matters.
“For the first time, TDCP offices have been shifted to their building, thanks to Sardar Usman Buzdar’s keen interest in the promotion of tourism,” said the adviser.
