LAHORE:

The Punjab Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) sealed five gasoline stations for their involvement in fuel theft on Tuesday.

The sealed petrol pumps include Miab Mir Filling Station, Farooq Filling Station, Shabbir Petroleum Service, Lahore Petroleum Service and Al-Khair Filling Station.

The owners were slapped with a total fine of Rs225,000.

ACE officials along with personnel of other departments concerned during an inspection found the measurements by the gasoline pumps compromised and therefore levied a hefty fine on the accused.

ACE Director General Gohar Nafees asked the public to report corrupt elements to the anti-graft watchdog through their app or other means.

He warned that such elements would not be spared.
